This is a great play set. These are so much better than the paper dolls I grew up with. There are a lot of small parts and a high play value, but it is probably best for a road trip or a limited play area like Grandma’s house. There is a lot that I, and the littles, like: * Magnetic pieces that actually hold well * Stands for the dolls, and the closet even has a small mirror * Storage space inside the closet for all the pieces, which helps with cleanup, keeping sets together, and travel * Plenty of clothes and accessories to mix and match * Sturdy dolls and clothing pieces that can handle energetic play for a reasonable amount of time, depending on the child * High quality printing with crisp lines and saturated colors * Two dolls, which lets both of our girls, ages 4 and 5, play without needing a second set * Age appropriate and fun for them They did love it. With two children using it and unlimited access, they managed to make it unplayable in about a week and a half, but two children means twice the wear and tear, and they hyperfocus. It was great fun during that time, and it lasted better than paper would have. Next time I will probably keep it for a road trip, or save it as a special quiet activity for a family gathering. Arrived damaged but still cute
This Barbie magnetic dress up activity set was super cute. It reminded me of paper dolls from when I was a child. I gifted this to a five year-old for her birthday and was a bit disappointed because it arrived with the mirror, detached from its base prior to even removing it from the box. I’m sure that her mother can easily fix it. I think that for paper dolls, it was not the greatest gift value, but I’m sure that she will have a lot of fun with this activity. This type of thing is fun for kids and helps with creativity. Paper dolls are easy to use and invoke imagination so I’m happy to have found this.
