On the whole, this Fashion pack is one of the better ones currently available for Ken. It consists of a light jacket (maybe Nylon?), a pair of blue 'Almost Denim' shorts, and silver shoes. Easily three staples in the male wardrobe! However: The jacket is very thin (with good reason) and fits extremely snug on an 'Original' Ken. Shown here on Caspian, the shoulder seams do not quite fall on the shoulders and it's extremely tight under the arms which restricts the already limited movement of a basic Ken. The print is quite nice and Caspian does love the shade of pink, though he claims the bold check is 'far too rigid' for him, whatever that means. The hood is quite nice though, very generous to allow for all sorts of hair styles to fit inside and drapes nicely over the shoulders for that effortless cool look. It does not close, and even if it had velcro it wouldn't look right if you tried to close it over the chest of an original. I can't even imagine how poorly this would fit a Broad. Because Caspian is a mermaid and has no need for shoes or shorts, they were given to Fabian. The shorts are the standard shorts you get in any Ken pack nowadays, ending just above the knee and closing in the back. There's white overlock stitching around the hem, just like on the jacket, which almost gives it a 'frayed' look but not quite. The material is pretty thin which makes it easy to get on and off, but it sits pretty stiffly on the doll and doesn't crease or fold easily. The shoes are easily the best part of this pack. They're silver sneakers with sculpted shoelaces, and they cut off just below the ankles, like boat shoes or skate shoes. They're completely flat on the bottom even though there's a sculpted Ken logo on the soles, and with careful positioning you can actually stand Ken up while he's wearing them and he won't topple over immediately. The pack does not come with a shirt, which is probably just as well since those jacket sleeves are so tight the only thing you could wear under it is a tank top. Caspian prefers to just wear his necklace, and while he's definitely the most stylish Merman in a Raincoat you've ever seen, he can't swim in it so it's a no from him. Fabian however seems to like it, so this fashion pack gets a respectable 3-stars out of 5.
A bit cheap quality and don’t know why to put under the jacket... because of the long length sleeve it doesn’t fit Ken with bended arm. My daughter actually use the jacket for Barbie although sleeves are a bit longue.
Well made
As with all Barbie brand clothes they are well made. They fit the newer ken average and slim bodies perfectly. Broad ken and OG 80's-00's ken has no chance. The fabric does not stretch at all and is in fact stiff like a windbreaker. Would be nice if they added a tank top or some kind of shirt underneath. Jacket doesn't close as it is meant to be worn open. Not all occasions allow for Ken to show his chest okay? But I love the funky fresh style that shows that Ken, too is in fact a fashion icon.
